Pause Reasons & Smart Skip

Understand when copy trading pauses and when trades are just skipped.

Pause Reasons & Smart Skip

Polyfollow only pauses when you tell it to, or when a stop loss / take profit triggers. Low balance? Trades are just skipped silently.

When Does Copy Trading Pause?

ReasonWhat Happens
Low balanceTrades skipped silently — follows stay active, no pause ✅
Stop loss hitFollow pauses — your loss hit your limit
Take profit hitFollow pauses — your profit hit your target
You press PauseFollow pauses — only resumes when you press Resume

Smart Skip (Low Balance)

When you don't have enough funds, trades are skipped — but nothing pauses. As soon as you deposit USDC, the next trade executes automatically. Zero friction.

What to Do for Each Situation

SituationRecommended Action
Low balanceDeposit USDC — next trade goes through automatically
Stop loss hitReview the trader's performance, decide if you want to continue
Take profit hitNice! Resume to keep going, or withdraw your profits
Manually pausedResume when ready from the dashboard

Pause All / Resume All

Need to pause or resume everything at once?

  • Pause All: Yellow pause icon in the top-right of your Active Copies section
  • Resume All: Green play icon in the same spot

These affect all your active trader copies at once.

Pro Tips

  1. Keep your balance topped up — you'll miss trades while paused, even though it auto-resumes on deposit
  2. Deposit anytime — resumption is instant, no waiting period
  3. Sells always execute — even while paused, your exit trades continue to protect positions
  4. P&L tracking resets when you resume a paused copy, so stop loss/take profit start fresh
