Pause Reasons & Smart Skip
Polyfollow only pauses when you tell it to, or when a stop loss / take profit triggers. Low balance? Trades are just skipped silently.
When Does Copy Trading Pause?
| Reason | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Low balance | Trades skipped silently — follows stay active, no pause ✅ |
| Stop loss hit | Follow pauses — your loss hit your limit |
| Take profit hit | Follow pauses — your profit hit your target |
| You press Pause | Follow pauses — only resumes when you press Resume |
Smart Skip (Low Balance)
When you don't have enough funds, trades are skipped — but nothing pauses. As soon as you deposit USDC, the next trade executes automatically. Zero friction.
What to Do for Each Situation
| Situation | Recommended Action |
|---|---|
| Low balance | Deposit USDC — next trade goes through automatically |
| Stop loss hit | Review the trader's performance, decide if you want to continue |
| Take profit hit | Nice! Resume to keep going, or withdraw your profits |
| Manually paused | Resume when ready from the dashboard |

These affect all your active trader copies at once.
Pro Tips
- Keep your balance topped up — you'll miss trades while paused, even though it auto-resumes on deposit
- Deposit anytime — resumption is instant, no waiting period
- Sells always execute — even while paused, your exit trades continue to protect positions
- P&L tracking resets when you resume a paused copy, so stop loss/take profit start fresh
