How to pick the right trader to copy

Total P&L and quality score together. P&L tells you how much a trader has made in absolute terms. The quality score adds context: profitability relative to sample size, recent momentum, and volume. A trader with strong P&L and a high quality score has demonstrated consistent, repeatable performance across enough trades to be statistically meaningful. Look for both.
Sample size matters more than the headline number. A strong quality score across 10 trades is nearly meaningless statistically. The same score across 300 trades is a much stronger signal. Always check the trade count before drawing conclusions. Small sample sizes can look exceptional by luck alone.
Recency and activity. A trader who was profitable two years ago but has not placed a trade in months is not useful to follow today. The recent activity section shows the last five trades for each trader. Look for consistent, recent participation across multiple markets, not just a single large win that inflates the all-time P&L.
Volume as a signal. High volume indicates a trader is placing meaningful positions, not just experimenting with minimum sizes. A trader with large volume and a strong quality score has more real conviction behind their record. Cross-reference volume with P&L: a high-volume trader at break-even is less interesting than one with growing P&L.

Trader Comparison FAQ

How does the Polymarket trader comparison tool work?

Enter two wallet addresses or pick from our featured traders. The tool fetches real-time data from Polymarket including P&L, quality score, trade count, and recent activity, then displays them side by side so you can quickly evaluate who performs better.

What metrics should I compare between Polymarket traders?

Focus on total P&L (overall profitability), quality score (consistency and composite performance), total trades (experience), and recent activity (whether they are still actively trading). A high quality score with few trades may be less reliable than a consistent score across hundreds of trades.

Can I copy the better trader after comparing?

Yes. Once you identify the stronger trader, click through to their profile on Polyfollow to start copying their trades automatically. No subscription and no cut of your profits. Polyfollow charges a 0.5% fee on each taker order you copy, through Polymarket's builder program. Maker orders are free. Gas is on us.
